Dear Friends,
Creating an effective referral business isn't doing one or two things great, it's doing a thousand little things good. It's making the little things work for you. Leveraging the opportunities that exist for all of us.
Ever wonder why some people have all the luck?
They see the opportunities where some don't.
Imagine you have to increase your database from 200 to 300 people before the end of the year. It requires meeting new people who get to know you, what you do and how you help others, making new acquaintances, networking, new business relationships and, of course, new friendships that you would like to add to your database.
If this is your priority, to meet new people, then the next time you walk into the deli for lunch you may see referral advocates all around you. Others may see cold cuts. It's a matter of perception.
At the very least, change your daily voice mail to let people know how you do your business.
If you prefer referrals, let them know.
Try something like this:
"Hi, this is Bob Smith and you've reached my voice mail for Wednesday, November 19th. I'll be with clients this morning until noon and returning all calls between 12 noon and 1 PM and again between 5 PM and 6 PM. Please leave your name and number, a brief message and which time works best for you for a return call along with the name of the person that referred you to me. If it's urgent call my cell 555-7777. Thank you for your referrals, trust and confidence."
Email signatures may look like this:
Bob Smith, CRS
Broker/Salesperson
ABC Realty
111 Main Street
AnyTown, State 00000
555-555-2222
cell 555-222-5555

Thank you for your referrals, trust and confidence.
It's that simple.
Plant referral seeds everywhere you can.
Let your hard work and quality service water those seeds.
Ask for referrals at the right time, and in the right way.
Build your referral business.
The best is yet to be!

One of the fastest ways to build a successful referral based business is by training. Now, with me, I like to invest significant time immersing myself in training, while some people prefer to take it in bite-size chunks. Whatever your preference is, now is the best time to contact me.
