Dear Friends,
As you may know, when I am traveling around the country teaching and lecturing we ask the class and workshop participants to each bring in some canned foods and non-perishables to the venue to be collected for the local area food bank.
Because of the continuing economic slump and the high cost of housing, more people are going to local food banks and shelters for emergency food than ever before. Food Banks and Shelters depend greatly on the generosity of their neighbors in the community to keep food on the shelves of their food pantry.
During the month of December a would like to ask all of my friends in Staten Island, NY to do the same when you attend our classes or workshops. (
